In July 2022, Plastecowood was approached by Askam Civil Engineering to provide Smartawood recycled plastic lumber components for a boardwalk as part of of a new off-road multi-user trail from Newby Bridge to Windermere lakeside.
The ultimate client was the Lake District National Park Authority.
Plastecowood was pleased to provide a wide range of bespoke length components manufactured and cut to size at our manufacturing facility in North Wales.
Products included low-slip-risk top boards, upright posts, kick rails, and handrails. The bespoke cutting service reduces labour on site, expedites installation, reduces wastage on site, (especially waste material from the cutting process), enables off-cuts to be re-used in our fabrication department or at worst waste off-cuts can be recycled in our own process, meaning minimal wastage and zero to landfill.
Plastecowood prides itself on being able to deliver products promptly and endeavours to maintain reasonable stock levels for urgent projects. Our friendly front desk team offers timely and clear quotations and advice.
